In this class you'll learn to make a mitten, which teaches skills beyond those of other beginner knitting classes. Once you master these basics, you should be able to go on and make a sweater.

Since we've taught so many of you to be good knitters, we understand the importance of support through intermediate knitting classes. This is your next step after beginner knitting. Level: intermediate/advanced
Knitters often want to knit what I'm knitting, well here's your chance. We'll be knitting an entrelac cowl. This is a great technique to learn and if you use Noro yarn, you get color blocks. If you've tried entrelac before, but disliked always turning your work, I'll teach you a way around it. Level: intermediate/advanced
New this year, socks from the toe up. This ingenious method of knitting socks is fascinating and no kitchener stitch at the end. We will also teach the traditional top-down version for those of you are new to sock knitting. Level: intermediate/advanced
This class teaches you the expertise required to make your finished garments go from handmade to professional. This class covers the basics of sewing seams, picking up stitches and blocking, along with other elements of finishing so important yet overlooked. Level: intermediate/advanced
Learn the basics of crochet and how to read a pattern. This class will focus on different patterns and edges. Since many knitting patterns include crochet, this is an excellent course for those of you who knit, but need to hone your crochet skills. Level:beginner/intermediate

As always, we are offering in-store needlepoint studio time with our expert instructor. This is a wonderful opportunity to get advice on your project and share your talent with a group.

The class fee does not include materials. Class fees are refundable up to three days prior to class start date.
How it works: You can contact us via e-mail, then mail or hand-deliver a check to the store (remember to give us your phone number), or call with a credit card to reserve your spot.
Or, come into the store and give us your name and phone number. One week prior to the class start date, we will call you with information and a date to submit a check to the store.
Your payment is your reservation. Classes are limited to 10 people--so the first 10 paid get into the class. Those that do not get into the class are placed on a waiting list.
Class materials must be purchased at the Stitching Bee to ensure you get the right tools for your project.
